When can I schedule a private charter?
Private charters are booked in much the same way as our public sails. They are booked on a first come, first serve basis. You can call your own times as long as it's available on our schedule. You can also book a private charter during the time allotted for our public sails as long as nobody has already made a reservation for that time.
How long is a private charter?
Private charters start out as a minimum of two(2) hours and can be extended to three(3), four(4) or even longer if needed.
How many people can go on a private charter?
Capt Kidd is the only USCG Coast Guard Inspected sailing vessel in the Houston/Galveston area. We can take a maximum of 28 passengers aboard. You don't need 28 people for a private charter but, that's as many as we can take.
How do I book?
Give us a call at 281-334-5433. We'll check the schedule for availability and give you current pricing. We'll send out a reservation sheet with prices, do's and don'ts, and other information so you know exactly what you are getting.
When and how do I pay?
Once you receive your reservation sheet and agree to the terms, you can sign and return a copy to us. A 50% deposit is required to secure your date with the balance due before leaving the dock the day of your sail. Your payments can either be with cash, cashier's check, money order, or credit card. We do offer a "cash discount" if everything is paid in cash. Sorry, we do not accept checks in any form.
